A native of Santa Monica, California, Barbara Allen graduated from Santa Monica College with an A.A. degree in Art and U.C.L.A. with a B.A. degree in Psychology.  Married to a quadriplegic for 15 years, Barbara helped him get his degree in computer sciences. They adopted two children, now successful business people who have rewarded Barbara with four beautiful grandchildren.

 

       They divorced and Barbara remarried in 1974 and was with Wallace Allen until his death from cancer in 1990.  Together they designed and built a log home which is situated lakeside in a beautiful gated community high in the mountains of Tehachapi, California.  Now retired, she still lives there, where she indulges her hobby of breeding and showing Samoyeds. She shares her home with her mother, five dogs, and four cats.

 

       Phantom: Out of the Shadows is her first novel. She has also written a screenplay based on the novel.
